Welcome to my creative world! I'm Leigh Petersen, an artist with a passion for pushing the boundaries of visual expression. With a solid foundation in Fine Arts, I embarked on a remarkable journey that has taken me through various artistic disciplines and spans over two decades.
My educational journey began with nine years of intense dedication to the world of Fine Arts, culminating in the achievement of my master's degree from Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) in Pretoria, South Africa. It was during this time that I honed my skills, delving deep into the rich tapestry of art history and mastering various traditional art forms.
Intrigued by the fusion of art and technology, I expanded my horizons by pursuing a two-year program in Graphic Design, equipping me with the tools to bring my artistic visions to life in the digital realm. My artistic odyssey then took me to the vibrant city of Dubai, where I immersed myself in the world of Filmmaking for two more exhilarating years, adding another layer of storytelling to my creative repertoire.
One of the most transformative experiences in my artistic journey was a two-year tattoo apprenticeship, where I learned the intricate art of tattooing. This profound hands-on experience not only deepened my understanding of the human canvas but also ignited a passion that has fueled my career as a full-time tattoo artist for over 13 years.
In addition to my tattooing endeavors, I've had the privilege of lending my creative talents to the business world. I've designed over 100 logos for various tattoo shops across the United States, helping these establishments to visually represent their unique identities and connect with their clients on a profound level.
My artistic evolution has been a constant exploration of the intersection of tradition and innovation, and I am thrilled to share my artistic vision with you.
